monday CRM vs Lime CRM: industry solution or flexible platform?

Lime, from Lund in Sweden, is one of the most used CRM systems in the Nordics, with industry solutions and ready-made Visma and Fortnox connections. Here is how it compares.

Lime Technologies has been building CRM in Lund, Sweden, since 1990 and is one of the most established names in the Nordic market. Its Lime CRM is widely used by Nordic companies, especially in industries where Lime offers ready-made solutions. monday CRM is newer, global and built on a different idea: instead of a finished industry solution, you get a platform that you shape yourselves. Both can be right, but rarely for the same company. We are a monday.com partner and write from that perspective. At the same time, we have great respect for Lime, and the comparison is written accordingly.

Short answer

Choose Lime if you want a Nordic vendor with local support, a finished industry solution and its own connections to Visma and Fortnox out of the box. Choose monday CRM if you want to own and change your own solution, if sales needs to connect with projects and delivery, and if you want a Nordic partner who builds further on the platform as your needs grow.

Two products from Lime

It is easy to miss that Lime sells two different CRM systems.

  • Lime CRM is the customizable system with industry solutions for energy, real estate, membership organizations, wholesale, manufacturing, construction and municipalities, among others. It covers sales, customer service, ticket management and marketing.
  • Lime Go is a ready-made CRM for sales teams in small and mid-sized B2B companies, with built-in Nordic company data and a focus on prospecting.

Which one you compare monday CRM against matters. Lime Go competes for the sales team. Lime CRM competes for the entire customer process.

Lime's strength: finished, Nordic and integrated

Lime knows the Nordic market. The industry solutions mean that an energy company or a real estate company gets a system that already speaks its language. Support is local, which reviews keep coming back to. And on the integration side, Lime has the broadest built-in support for Visma of the systems we have compared, with connections to Fortnox, Visma Net, Visma eEkonomi, Visma Business and Visma Administration.

Lime Go also adds built-in Nordic company data, which makes it strong for teams that live on prospecting.

monday CRM's strength: you own the solution

The objections to Lime that recur in reviews are that some older parts are updated slowly and that documentation is limited. A deeply customized industry solution is also more tied to its template, which shows when the business changes direction.

monday CRM turns that around. Whoever owns the process builds and changes it themselves: new stages, new fields, new automations and new dashboards, the same day the need arises. The bigger steps, such as architecture, integrations and custom apps, you take together with your partner. For companies whose process changes often, or that do not fit an industry template, that is decisive.

The other difference is the platform. monday CRM shares an environment with projects, service and development. A won deal becomes a delivery project automatically, and the AI features, from the Sidekick assistant to agents for lead research and meeting preparation, work across all of the business's data.

Pricing

Both have public price lists. Lime CRM is priced per user in three tiers, starting at a few hundred Swedish kronor per user per month according to Lime's website. Lime Go is sold in packages with a fixed number of users. monday CRM is priced per user in four tiers and requires at least three users. Always compare total cost: licenses, implementation, integrations and ongoing management over time. Make sure you compare the same scope in both quotes.

Partner support and custom apps

monday.com is a global platform, but you are not on your own with it. As a certified monday.com partner, we provide hands-on support: implementation, training, ongoing management and a contact person who knows your particular setup. You make the everyday changes yourselves. The bigger steps we take together, and that is where a partner who knows both the platform and your business makes the biggest difference.

When the standard features are not enough, we develop custom apps and integrations on the monday.com platform. That is our answer to Lime's industry solutions: instead of a finished template, you get an app built for your specific need, for example a contract module, a customer portal or a connection to an industry system. A need that monday.com does not solve out of the box is therefore rarely a reason to rule out the platform. Read more about how we build custom systems.
